Ember Johnson is a book dragon turned writer. She was first published in Azala Press’s winter anthology in December 2023 while working on her first debut novel–the beginning of a why choose fantasy romance trilogy. By January 2025, her debut book –Daughter of Shadows and Ash–was released with the second soon to follow. When she’s not developing a new fantasy romance, she’s diving head first in a paranormal romance with a lot of bite.

Ember was born and raised in California before relocating to Northern Alabama where she currently raises her two daughters with her husband.
